Loyola-Chicago Advances To Sweet 16 On Another Game-Winning Shot In Final Seconds [UPDATE]

Two days after Donte Ingram drilled a three-pointer in the final second to beat Miami, Clayton Custer delivered a field goal with the clock winding down as the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers overcame a late collapse to come back and beat Tennessee 63-62 and advance to the Atlanta regional. Here’s how the final play sounded on Westwood One radio:

Loyola-Chicago saw its seven-point lead disappear in the final two minutes as turnovers and bad shots—and a questionable foul call that sent SEC player of the year Grant Williams to the line for the would-be game-winning free throw—put them down one, only for Custer to deliver yet another prayer for the Jesuits.
