Joe Smith Jr. retained his WBC light heavyweight title after knocking 51-year-old Bernard Hopkins out of the ring tonight in Inglewood. Smith earned a TKO after Hopkins landed on his head and could not continue the bout:

It’s the first time Bernard Hopkins has ever been knocked out in his 28 years and 67 bouts as a professional fighter.
