Astros Take 2-0 ALCS Lead On Carlos Correa Walkoff Double

Carlos Correa accounted for both of Houston’s runs, hitting a fourth-inning solo homer and the walkoff double that drove in José Altuve as the Astros took a 2-0 series lead on the Yankees in a game that saw Justin Verlander pitch a complete game with 13 strikeouts.

Despite that otherworldly performance, the former Tigers hurler finished the top of the ninth with the game still on the line; the Yankees’ sole run came on a ground-rule double in the fifth. Aroldis Chapman took the loss for New York.
